The Pressure to Be Perfect
The “superwoman” label creates unrealistic expectations. SOF spouses are human, and trying to live up to this ideal can lead to burnout, guilt, and feelings of inadequacy.
Embracing ImperfectionReal strength comes from vulnerability. It’s okay to ask for help, admit when you’re struggling, or let some things go. The perfect spouse or parent doesn’t exist, and that’s okay.
Tips for Letting Go of the Myth
Set boundaries. Learn to say no to things that drain your energy.
Focus on what matters most. Let go of perfectionism in areas that don’t truly matter.
