85-hour Yoga Alliance Ayurveda Teacher Training
The Lotus River Wellness 85-Hour Ayurveda Certification is a deep, accessible exploration of yoga’s sister science—designed for yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, and anyone ready to understand the mind–body connection on a richer level.

This virtual certification teaches the foundations of Ayurveda through a modern, culturally respectful lens. You’ll study the five elements, the three doshas, the gunas, Agni and digestion, subtle body anatomy, stress patterns, trauma-informed considerations, and the lifestyle practices that support balance in daily life.

Students learn how to integrate Ayurvedic wisdom into yoga sequencing, breathwork, meditation, and seasonal or doshic themes. Through guided lessons, live Zoom sessions, journaling, practice labs, and teaching practicums, you’ll develop the skills to design supportive, inclusive, and education-based Ayurveda offerings for your community.
You’ll gain tools for creating grounding routines, understanding imbalance, supporting nervous system regulation, and crafting classes that align with energy, season, and student needs—while staying within ethical, non-clinical scope.
This program begins the third Monday of each month and blends self-paced study with live discussions, feedback, and integration support. The training includes written assignments, meditation and sequencing practicums, an intake simulation, and a final capstone to help you embody what you’ve learned.
Graduates leave with a strengthened personal practice, clearer teaching identity, and the ability to share Ayurveda in a safe, welcoming, and empowering way. This course is approved for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours and is an exceptional addition for teachers supporting military families, high-stress populations, or anyone seeking grounded, holistic wellness education.
