This course reframes meditation as a practice of awareness, one that can be developed gradually and integrated into everyday life. You will explore the foundational elements of meditation, including attention, awareness, and observation, along with common challenges such as distraction, restlessness, and inconsistency. This training provides practical tools to help you establish a sustainable practice without pressure or unrealistic expectations. For yoga teachers, this course offers guidance on how to introduce meditation to students in a way that is approachable and inclusive. Emphasis is placed on language, pacing, and creating an environment that supports presence rather than performance. This training also explores how meditation supports the nervous system, enhances focus, and complements both dynamic and restorative practices. Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your understanding, this course provides a grounded and realistic framework that can be applied both on and off the mat. This course qualifies for 10 hours of continuing education and may be combined with additional LRW trainings to fulfill Yoga Alliance CE requirements.
